Latin Kings Arrested with Kilo of Cocaine in Englewood, Prosecutor Says

Police say cash, drugs seized.

Two associates of the Latin Kings street gang were arrested last week after investigators nabbed them with a kilogram of cocaine bound for Englewood, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced Thursday.

On Oct. 10, law enforcement received word that 53-year-old Jose Gonzalez, of Providence, R.I. and 36-year-old Garnerville, N.Y. resident Jose E. Quinones would be transporting the drugs from the Bronx to Englewood, Molinelli said.

Englewood Police, NYPD and prosecutor's gang squad detectives set up surveillance before catching the pair with the cocaine during a car stop in Englewood, the prosecutor said. A search of Quinones' Bronx home turned up two more kilograms of cocaine and $6,000 in cash.
