Brownie Troop Builds 'Baby Bundles' for Moms in Need

Englewood Cliffs Brownie Troop 5496 used the proceeds from cookie sales to support mothers who patronize the Women's Rights Information Center in Englewood.

A troop of 15 Englewood Cliffs Brownie Scouts raised more than $2,000 for the Women's Rights Information Center in Englewood through cookie sales.

Troop 5496 used its earnings to purchase baby care items and transform them into "baby bundles" for mothers at the Women's Rights Information Center in Englewood, a non-profit that provides women with the knowledge and support to move toward economic self-sufficiency.

"This is the best project ever," 7-year-old Brownie Camdyn Meirowitz said. "I joined the Girl Scouts to help people and it is really special knowing that we are helping babies."
